Peter's scientific background is in Immunology and Microbiology. He received his undergraduate degree in biology from Albion College and an M.S and Ph.D. in Immunology and Microbiology from the University of Michigan. Peter was on the faculty of the Medical College of Virginia for seven years prior to joining Lilly Research laboratories, Eli Lilly and Company. For the next 19 years he held a wide variety of research and mangement positions in drug discovery research and develoment within at Lilly. Peter retired from Lilly in December 2005. Peter has been a part-time professional photographer for the last 20 years specializing in Sports, Nature and Event photography. His photographic pursuits have taken him across the United States, to Europe, Africa and the Falkland Islands. He is now pursuing photography on a full-time basis.
