Bob has spent the majority of his career using computers to solve problems primarily related to engineering and manufacturing. Since 1990, when he started working full time for Jerand Technical Services, he has used Pro/ENGINEER, a solid modeling system for mechanical engineers. In 1992, he started to provide customization services, including custom software development, for Pro/E.

Bob earned a B.S.(EE) and M.Eng.(EE) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
